Warm and welcoming apartment that’s full of character

North Wing is an attractive, two-storey apartment with access to some of the grounds of Alvie House and, at certain times of the year, to fishing on Loch Bourne.  The owner’s family call it ‘the winter quarters’ because past generations used to shut up the main house and live in North Wing during the cold winter months.

The apartment has plenty of space and is well equipped, comfortable and warm.  We heat Alvie House with a woodchip boiler using wood sourced from the Estate.

We’ll provide bed linen and also tea towels for the kitchen.  All we ask is that you bring your own towels (or if you’re travelling light you can hire some from us for only £5 per person).

Sleeps:
One double, two twin and two single rooms

Bathing:
Two bathrooms with baths. Shower over one of the baths. Cloakroom on the ground floor

Dining:
Large fully-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast area. Separate dining room

Relaxing:
Large sitting room with plenty of comfy sofas and chairs, open fire, television, Wi-Fi, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker

Outside:
Access to the some grounds of Alvie House and Loch Bourne at certain times of the year. Walks nearby to enjoy the fresh mountain air!

Dogs:
You’re welcome to bring one or two well-behaved dogs. Fees are £10 per dog, however long you stay

Good to know:
We provide a supply of kindling, logs and matches so, if you want to, you can enjoy a roaring fire as soon as you arrive. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the basement of Alvie House.

Lovely place to stay; very warm and welcoming. It’s an ideal place for a get together of extended family – we used Top Flat as well and had space – and hot water – for seventeen. I am already looking forward to coming back next year.
